' For all the hoopla about BDSM aspects of Gor novels, the first couple just read like plane old (slightly misogynistic, admittedly) barbarian adventure novels.

It's hard to believe there are over twenty books in this series. The premise was at first interesting but it became formulaic and same-old-thing after the third book. ' Yes, I read some of this series while in school. I think if I went back to read them again I'd be shocked and horrified, so I will leave it to my teenage affection and not sully the memory of enjoying the smut.
